Public Involvement Regarding Options to Revise Radiation Protection Regulations and Guidance

For information specifically related to public involvement regarding Options to Revise Radiation Protection Regulations and Guidance, see the Completed and Upcoming Public Meetings on this page. The NRC staff uses public meetings to engage stakeholders and interested parties in discussions regarding the benefits and/or impacts of revising the agency's radiation protection regulations and guidance to achieve greater alignment with the 2007 Recommendations of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP Publication 103). In so doing, the staff hopes to identify potential conflicts and gain an understanding of any unintended consequences that may result from drafting and implementing any related changes to the NRC's existing regulations. Toward that end, the NRC's Synopsis of ICRP Publication 103, which is available through the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), discusses the broad implications of the new recommendations.

Public Meetings

The public meetings listed in the following table concern options to revise the NRC's existing radiation protection regulations. We will regularly update this table with scheduled presentations at meetings that are open to the public.
