W15 The Future of Space Nuclear Power Systems and Why the Regulatory Framework Matters

Nuclear power has the potential to enable more ambitious space exploration projects in the future. Come to this session to hear from leaders at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Federal Aviation Administration what they are doing to prepare for the future of nuclear power in space. This session will also seek to identify what nuclear power in space means for the NRC.
