Laura Dudes

Laura A. Dudes is the Regional Administrator for Region II.  Ms. Dudes joined the NRC in 1994 as a reactor engineer intern.  Since that time, she has held a number of positions including: Region I DRS inspector performing metallurgical and engineering inspections; resident inspector, Indian Point 3; senior resident inspector, Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station; technical assistant, Division of Inspection Program Management; NRR Enforcement Coordinator; and Chief, New Reactor Licensing.  Since joining the SES in 2007, Ms. Dudes has served as the Deputy Director, Division of Engineering, Office of New Reactors (NRO); Director, Division of Construction Inspection and Operational Programs, NRO; Director, Division of Materials Safety and State Agreement, NMSS; and, most recently, as the Deputy Regional Administrator, Region II.  Ms. Dudes received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.  She is a 2007 graduate of NRC’s SES CDP.
