Alison Hahn

Alison has been with the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy since 2011. She has managed a number of programs including the Advanced Methods for Manufacturing within the Nuclear Energy Enabling Technologies program which sponsors research and development (R&D) in additive manufacturing, weld monitoring and control technologies, concrete and rebar innovations, and imaging techniques for design reconstruction. She was also responsible for the Nuclear Science User Facilities which provides access to unique irradiation and post-irradiation capabilities for fuels and materials R&D. Currently, she is managing the Light Water Reactor Sustainability program which is NE’s primary programmatic activity to better support the existing nuclear reactor fleet operate technically and economically. She has a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from John Hopkins University.
