Dev Chidambaram
Dr. Dev Chidambaram has degrees in electrochemical engineering, biomedical engineering, and materials science and engineering. His research primarily focuses on interfacial and electrochemical materials science and understanding how materials perform under various environments. He uses a complementary suite of spectroscopic techniques to understanding the interfacial chemistry so it can be correlated to the performance. He obtained his PhD in materials science and engineering from Stony Brook University in 2003. He then worked as a Goldhaber distinguished fellow and a staff scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory. In 2009, he joined the Faculty in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. He was promoted to Associate professor in 2013 and to Full professor in 2017. He has over 80 publications. For his research, he has received awards from the Electrochemical Society, International Society for Electrochemistry, the Society for Applied Spectroscopy and the American Vacuum Society.
