Kerri Kavanagh

Ms. Kavanagh has been with the NRC for 27 years.  Ms. Kavanagh currently is the branch chief of the Quality Assurance and Vendor Inspection Branch, DRO/NRR and has served in the role for the previous 8 years.  She is recognized as a subject matter expert in the areas of quality assurance, vendor inspection and supply chain oversight.  She serves as one of the NRC representatives supporting the development of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Codes and Standards, Section III and NQA-1.  She has been directly involved in vendor inspections and quality assurance reviews and implementation for 15 years, leading many domestic and international vendor inspections and applicant quality assurance implementation inspections.  Ms. Kavanagh serves as the vice-chair of the MDEP Vendor Inspection Cooperation Working Group (VICWG), and the chair of the SMR Regulator’ Forum Manufacturing, Construction, Commissioning and Operations Working Group.
