Eric Michel
Eric Michel is the Chief of Projects Branch 2 in the U.S. NRC's Division of Fuel Facility Inspection, Region 2. His responsibilities include managing oversight activities such as core, supplemental, and reactive inspections; enforcement; assessment at assigned fuel facilities.
Mr. Michel joined the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 2004 as a Reactor Inspector. In 2010, Mr. Michel transferred to the Division of Construction Inspection as a Senior Construction Inspector. In 2015 he transitioned to the Division of Fuel Facility Inspection as the Chief of Projects Branch 2. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Michel worked for General Electric and as a nuclear-trained Navy officer. He earned a bachelor's degree in Materials Science from the University of Florida and master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester.
