April Smith

Dr. Smith joined the NRC in 1999 as a reactor inspector in Region I.  Since then, she has enjoyed positions within several offices of the agency as a materials engineer, program manager, and reactor systems engineer. In 2011, she joined the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards as an NRC Graduate Fellow and is currently a Reliability and Risk Analyst in the Nuclear Analysis and Risk Assessment Branch in the Division of Fuel Management.  As a Reliability and Risk Analyst, Dr. Smith performs event assessments and reviews license amendments and applications in the area of integrated safety analysis.
