Donnie Harrison

Mr. Harrison is the Senior Level Advisor for Risk Assessment in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) where he provides technical advice for licensing and inspection activities associated with nuclear facilities. He has more than 35 years of industry and regulatory experience developing, performing, and applying probabilistic risk assessment methods for a variety of arenas, including nuclear facility and chemical process designs and operations. Since joining the NRC in 2000, Mr. Harrison has mentored numerous staff in becoming qualified as reliability and risk analysts and leads a number of risk-related courses and training modules at the NRC, including:  an introduction to risk-informed decision-making, use of integrated safety analysis for fuel fabrication facilities, risk-informed thinking, and risk-informed nuclear reactor applications.
