Patrick Morilhat

Patrick Morilhat has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry. He began his professional career at Electricité de France (EDF) as research engineer and held different positions as project leader, head of research department, and R&D Program Director. In the technical field, he pioneered the implementation of probabilistic approach in mechanical engineering, the development of fatigue monitoring systems in nuclear power plants and the development of digital technologies for operation and maintenance in Nuclear, Thermal and Hydropower generation. He has been in charge of international affairs in the field of R&D for Power Generation at EDF, and as such he has participated to the creation of several new R&D Centers worldwide. He has co-chaired the deployment strategy of the EU Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform. Patrick is currently managing the Nuclear Plant Performance R&D Program. In this position, he leads R&D programs related to plant modernization and digitalization, productivity improvement, flexible operation and application of AI and data analytics to O&M issues.
