Jim Warden
James R. Warden is the Director of the Office Nuclear Energy, Safety, and Security in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation at the U.S. Department of State. In his current position, Mr. Warden heads the office that leads in the development of U.S. Government policy for all peaceful nuclear cooperation, nuclear export controls, safety, and security issues. Mr. Warden has previously held positions at the Department of State focusing on international nuclear counter-terrorism activities and promoting U.S. policy objectives at the International Atomic Energy Agency. Mr. Warden has also served as a fellow in the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives, a Program Coordinator at Argonne National Laboratory, and as an Associated at the consulting firm of Booz Allen Hamilton. Mr. Warden graduated from Miami University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1998.
