The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has already revised our plan to incorporate some ideas, and published responses to others along with a report concerning the pilot of our citizen engagement tool. Now, we need your input to help us revise our plan to build the roadmap for the next 2 years. Introduced on January 31, 2011, the NRC Blog is an easy-to-use citizen-engagement tool, which enables you to share your ideas with the NRC in a moderated forum. The NRC Blog can also be accessed on mobile devices (such as smart phones) by entering the site address (http://public-blog.nrc-gateway.gov/) in the device's Web browser.

On December 6, 2011, our Open Government Advisory Council hosted a Webinar to solicit your input about what activities we should include in the next revision of our Open Government Plan in April 2012. As indicated in the Meeting Notice and Agenda, our goal was to obtain your feedback on our Open Government Accomplishments in 2010 – 2011, the High-Value Datasets we've published so far, and the goals we've pursued as part of our Flagship Initiative to enhance stakeholder engagement. We also hoped to learn what new initiatives you'd like us to pursue as we establish our Open Government roadmap for the next 2 years.
To guide this discussion, we used a SWOT Analysis Worksheet to help identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) in our existing program, as they relate to the three Open Government cornerstones of Transparency, Public Participation, and Collaboration. This collaborative analysis yielded valuable Stakeholder Input, which we will use in the next revision of our Open Government Plan.
