DESCRIPTION: | The NONLINEAR ANALYSIS command will terminate with a structural instability error message if the following combination of conditions exist for any frame member: |
1. | The member has been specified as a nonlinear geometric member in the NONLINEAR EFFECTS command. |
2. | The member has member releases. |
3. | The member has a Beta reference joint. |
A work-around is to specify the member Beta angle directly with the CONSTANTS command for members which satisfy conditions 1 and 2 above.
