Special NRC Oversight at Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant: Concrete Degradation
The NRC modified its regulatory oversight of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 in Seabrook, N.H., to address the occurrence of alkali silica reaction. The purpose of this special oversight is to support the review of licensee commitments and planned large-scale concrete specimen testing by the licensee, the development of staff technical guidance, and stakeholder communications and outreach activities.

Special NRC Oversight at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS): Steam Generator Tube Degradation
The NRC modified its regulatory oversight of SONGS Unit 2 and Unit 3 to address unusual degradation of newly installed steam generator tubes. The purpose of this special oversight is to review the licensee's response to the initial indications of the tube leak, and verify that the licensee's actions are appropriate to ensure the integrity of the steam generators and to protect the health and safety of the public and the environment.
