The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Division of Fuel Management, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, is offering the Fuel Cycle Processes course from Monday, September 18, 2023, through Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 9 AM to 4:45 PM, as a hybrid offering at the NRC Headquarters in Rockville, MD. This course focuses on Fuel Operations, Safety Analysis, and Regulatory Topics. It provides familiarity with the nuclear fuel cycle from uranium mining to fuel fabrication to storage and disposal.

There will be an exam on Thursday after all course modules have been taught. Completion of the exam is required for those for whom this course is required for formal qualification (also may be used to grant 32 hours refresher training for qualified staff pending their supervisor’s approval).
