Tribal Liaison Team

The United States (U.S.) Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recognizes the unique legal relationship between the U.S. and federally recognized Tribes as set forth in the U.S. Constitution, treaties, statutes, Executive Orders, and court decisions. The NRC continues to fulfill its statutory requirement to support proactive communications and government-to-government consultations with all federally recognized American Indian Tribes and Alaska Natives who are potentially affected by, or otherwise interested in, NRC regulatory activities.
